There wasnt a thread for this yet, so im making one.

This thread is for for Death Grips' new LP, No Love Deep Web, coming October 23

Here is an announcement they made through Pitchfork about the album:

"there are no manually programmed drums on this album ,
the beats are being played live on a roland electronic v-drum set or acoustic drum set by zach.
there are no features , guest collabs or outside producers.
the material is cold , bass heavy , minimal , rock & roll influenced and could simultaneously fit into a rave or dance club context.
it is essentially rap and electronic music while at times extremely aggressive."

for a brief period of time, Death Grips ran an ARG created to promote the album. read about it here:

so whats good with the new ARG yesterday?

okay, two days ago, about 4 people went to the phone booth in new york, there they found a flyer that said something about computer safety from hackers and it had a phone number. after people figured out the area code for it, they called the number and someone told them to go to the theater, which wasnt far away. when they got there though, they met a homeless man who said something about "thats where the moneys at," and something about storage, so people went to a website called "sTORage" and found a file. when they eventually figured out the password, it contained a file that when opened as a .txt had a bunch of random letters, which later turned out to be a mediafire url. when they downloaded that file they found out it had a video file, but when they figured the password out and extracted it, it turned out to be nothing more than a "that feel when no gf" face. then the death grips tor status posted "good job! be sure to buy a copy of no love deep web". so many theorys have branched off of this. some people think that the file as a whole was a troll and that they got off track by the homeless man and the sTORage site, while some people belive that the video was part of the ARG cause "no girlfreind" = "no love", so basically, in august they did the deep web part, and in september they did the no love part. anyway, yesterday someone went back and took a bunch of photos, but didnt find much except that 917 or 9!7 was written in certain places. so nothing much yet has been figured out, but check iGod's (one of the people whose part of the death grips tor mailing list and the one who made the first ARG picture) twitter every now and then to see updates https://twitter.com/iGodNano cause hes been updating everything so far, or just check /mu/ every so often for a death grips thread
